That’s what I said when the lookbook was released—Todd Snyder FW23 is really good. Sometimes a good lookbook is just a good lookbook. But Todd’s recent collection isn’t just about style. pieces and detail it’s just really solid. Since the first drop is already out, we’ve selected some of our favorite items and features that highlight what we love about the collection.

I’ll be making some cool statement pieces, but I’ll start with the one I’m most unreasonably excited about…

The shirt in general…was bad. For a while. Most manufacturers, especially ready-to-wear, have produced shirts with short, quirky collars. Most MTM brands do not offer length option. Some companies are now making longer button-down collars, but long point collars have a unique charm. These collars complement your necktie better and give your face a better contour. better framed by the jacket (Or, as you can see, a cardigan). And I found this on the rack. very difficult.

Todd Snyder and Hamilton did it. Hamilton is a great shirt maker. It’s not cheap at $300, and it only comes in three colors (white, tan, and olive) at the moment, but I see this as the beginning of the end for whimsical collars, and a huge win towards the resurgence of collars in general. I decided to take a look. good clothes.

The collar seems a bit structured and stiff, which seems to be helping. It helps the collar stay under the collar or hit the cardigan as intended.

The lookbook also features a very flattering collar on a knit polo shirt, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a while for that.

This alpaca cardigan also has a nice neckline. I like the dark edges and the pockets… And the fact that there are pockets in general, cardigans should have pockets, pockets are good.

It’s a synthetic blend. It’s not the end of the world. It’s a $300 textured alpacca cardigan. This blend may help them get the texture, drape, and feel they’re looking for. Try it on and see if you like it. If you want purer knitwear, you can always…

Todd Snyder has his own turtleneck. It’s definitely 100% cashmere and looks great. But…they also have Inis Main. So… Get the Inis Meáin Boatbuilder Fisherman Sweater (Natural). This is the real deal, taken from one of the Aran Islands. Knits don’t get better.

So, is there a difference between “natural” and “bisque”?

I’m a fan of Todd’s Madison cut. The proportions are on point, the lapels are fairly wide, and the fit is good enough to comfortably layer with knitwear. Everything you want in a fall jacket.

But more importantly, I like their corduroy. It’s soft, warm, and wide, everything I want from corduroy. This is also a 2% elastin blend. But corduroy sag anyway, so the elasticity actually helps the corduroy maintain its sag-free shape a bit. It’s a bit contradictory, but I promise to verify it mathematically.

If you’re looking for a nice casual corduroy jacket or suit, the Madison jacket (and pants) in spruce is my pick. But check all options. Here are some fun options.

Coats are still appearing, but this glen plaid alpaca coat is beautiful The texture is nice, and the double-breasted teal Casentino wool coat is unique and wonderful. Casentino is a special brushed wool that can have a fleece-like texture, but unlike poly fleece, it is not an environmental nightmare and has all the benefits of wool. If you have a chance, this is a product that you should definitely see for yourself.

Finally, a statement piece, this “watercolor floral” corduroy chore coat is getting all the attention it deserves.

Wear it in a museum or art gallery, or in a fancy room like the one pictured. You can also wear it with jeans on Tuesday. A chore coat is very easy to put on.

Funky mohair cardigans are nothing new, but Todd Snyder chose to play with four different form factors this season. I especially like the color scheme of this argyle polo shirt. Mohair sweaters are always blended and 46% mohair is actually a very high percentage. So enjoy the texture and atmosphere. It’s usually best suited for shoulder season, but you can layer this up for a while.

There’s more to the drop. This flannel is sturdy. New dark brown color for suede trackers (corduroy trackers are now in production too)…and the selection of brands we carry and collaborate with is as strong as ever: Inis Meáin knitwear, Hamilton shirts, Vermeil Jewelry Miansai shoes, King Kennedy and Rubinacci shoes…

And this is a harbinger of good things to come for menswear. We want better collars, better knits, more casual tailoring, and, hopefully, more experimentation with once-boring brands.

Todd Snyder is hitting all the right notes. Let’s visit them.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
