Memorial Day Weekend Sale Selection
I’ve been selling mainly on my small side blog “Morning Mist”, but this list is getting long so I decided to introduce it on my main blog.
As a side note, for those who haven’t figured it out yet, I’ve been posting less-than-perfect pieces on Substack more frequently. I still consider The Second Button to be my main blog. This is my baby. But I put a lot of effort into writing every post here, and I spend a lot of time editing them, so I just don’t publish them very often. I have a couple of pieces that are over 90% complete, but the last 10% always feels like a pile.

- Beckett Simonon sells two pairs for $359.
- I think they do this for each MDW
- This is a particularly good value as boots tend to be expensive.
- We also carry women’s shoes, and women’s shoes are $2/289. I don’t know why it’s cheap, but most of these pages don’t write anything about the construction, so maybe it’s welded and not break stitch?
- Remember, they are made to order. I won’t be able to get shoes for about 2-3 months.
- 30% off all Tom’s items
- This brings the price down to $45.50 for some of the espadrilles and $56 for the suede option. Yes, it’s pretty cheap.
- As I said before, espadrilles should be cheap. If there is no one selling at a stand near you, this is a good option.
- “Alparagatas” is another name for espadrilles. It’s the same thing.
- Allen Edmonds’ sale section is up to 60% off.
- Here are some of my selections. We recommend following these unless you are familiar with the product’s contents. In recent years they have introduced some strange ones…focusing on the classics and a few others.
- You’ll also get an extra 20% off your seconds. For those who don’t know what “seconds” are, they are not perfect shoes, but they are usually very high quality shoes. In some cases, the error may be so small that it goes unnoticed. And it’s not a structural problem. It could be an issue with the appearance of the finish, which could be resolved with polish.
- Saucony is “up to” 50% off.
- I have no idea what to do with that. “Until”, thank you.
- What are good things for? That’s what I want to know.
- But I’m tired again.
accessories
skin care and more
- Elemis has 25% off skincare and more sitewide.
- Grove sells various things, but I’ll list them here.
- First time customers receive 20% off.
- They carry a number of brands that tout themselves as being eco-friendly, healthy, or otherwise great. I believe that at least some of that marketing is at least somewhat accurate.
- They have a chief medical officer who is an actual doctor and medical expert. That seems like a good sign.
